Unbeknownst to her, Brandon and other members of her team help create Beta versions of the chip for the military. That helps escalate a conflict between two giant corporations over water rights into a full-blown World War, spread across the planet. The war itself forces Linna, her lab tech Carlos Tisdell, and her new-found ally, journalist Ben Cooperman, into a flight to escape death, stop the war, and neutralize the rival CEOs of the two giant corporations. It all comes to a head in a high-stakes golf match between the two warring CEOs, staged as a publicity ploy by their corporations, and played at St. Andrews in Scotland, the oldest golf course in the world. Romance blooms between Linna and Ben as the seemingly impossible task of stopping two warring mega corporations draws them closer and closer to the center of the conflict. The film ends in one of the most beautiful cinematic love scenes ever written.
